Getting by, Jackie, just getting by. I don't know what things are like in your line of work but it's been pretty bloody dodgy in mine recently. I somehow seem to keep finding one more lifeline to grab on to before I go under, but really all I want to do is get out of this fucking cold water and go lie on the beach. Not going to happen though. Just endless flailing about until the water finally closes over my head.
Wow. I'm Mr Cheery tonight, eh?

When I feel that way, I break out Workingmans Dead (Worksop indeed!), some JGB or even some Elliott Smith.
It usually helps.
Funny how troubled souls like Jerry or Elliott could have the effect of making people feel much happier about things.
